Spirit of Hope Christian Church is holding its 1^st Annual Charity Golf Tournament. This event will be an annual undertaking to benefit various organizations throughout the Denver Metro area.

This year’s event will be held to benefit Children’s Hospital “Lindsay May Fund”. The Lindsay May Fund is designed to provide short-term assistance to heart patients and their families. Referrals to the program are made by the medical and nursing staff to the Cardiac Clinical Social Worker who runs the program. The fund may be used for transportation costs, emergency food and lodging expenses and other special needs as deemed appropriate by the fund’s administrator. As part of this charity, event Spirit of Hope Christian Church is requesting donations for:  

• Bronze Sponsorship – $100.00 Per Hole, Company/Individual name displayed at tee or green.
• Silver Sponsorship – $250.00 Each, Company/Individual name displayed at driving range or practice green.
• Gold Sponsorship– $400.00 Per hole, Company/Individual name displayed at tee or green and your logo on next year’s brochures and posters.
• Donation in lieu of Sponsorship
• Donations for First, Second, Third and Closest to Pin and Longest Drive prizes  

Any donation will be greatly appreciated to help make our golf tournament a success. Since we are a non-profit organization your donation is tax deductible (98-13570-000). Spirit of Hope Christian Church gives their entire offering received on the third Sunday of each month to agencies and organizations benefiting people. Some of these agencies included American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Jeffco Action, American Diabetes Association, STEP 13, Canine Companions, Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House to name a few.

Please come and join us for a good cause and a fun day at Applewood Golf Course. This Golf Tournament will be held on September 9, 2006. The format will be a four-man scramble. You may build your own foursome, or we will be happy to place you on a team.

The Children's Hospital Heart Institute is a collaboration of the Departments of Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and the Heart Research Program. Recognized nationally and internationally for the caliber of its professionals and the quality of its care the Children’s Hospital Heart Institute is the only full-service, pediatric cardiac care center in a seven-state region, and has dedicated resources to become one of the leading heart centers nationally.

Gavin’s Ray of Hope- On May 26, 2006 Gavin was born with Hypo-Plastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). HLHS is where the left side of the heart does not grow in the womb, or does not grow like the right side. On June 1 he went in for his first heart surgery at Children's Hospital. The dedicated staff at Children’s Hospital have give Gavin the quality care he needs. Gavin’s family also thanks everyone for their prayers for Gavin and the hospital staff. 

The Lindsay May Fund has provided short term assistance to Brandon and Janelle. Gavin’s family, which include siblings, Marissa and Bryce, look forward with hope when Gavin comes home.
